Thanks Amit ji I have use that option.. As I am writing the TDL since 1995 myself. Although I have never learn professionally & not much expert. I am taking ideas in this group and learn lots from every one. I am writing for myself/my company only. I love tally software and programming as it has help me lot. I have prepared so many reports to reduce day. to day work and market the product. Product design parameters and so many factors, product data etc. saving in tally data file since then. If I am not wrong .. You are part of tally company only....If yes then I have serious suggestion for company... that all data file.. Administrator should also choose that the company should open in which tally serial no. than all users will secured and they will be aware that the company data will not be misused by any one and any where. theft of data will not help to any one. Dear Atulji, Thank you for your insights and progression. However, I would like to clarify that I am not a part of Tally Group. I am a businessman and doing my own consultancy in various fields but have been using Tally since 1986 --- in 1986 it was "The Accountant" MS_DOS based, then "Tally" under Peutronics Software and then in 1999 as TallySolutions. Tally switched to 4th Generation developed in-house based on C++ and released in 2006 to users along with Tally ver 9.0 rel-1.0. Tally or for that matter any other software - offers portability and transfer-ability. If not done so, then all the CAs and Consultants would have to visit Client's office for their work. So data theft is best controlled at the SOURCE. In same manner all your DOCs and XLSs files are also open to theft. But one manage that by imposing restrictions on individual PCs/Laptops by disabling USB, CD and mail attachments or the best -- use of a Professional FIREWALL software. As for Tally - it offers robust INTERNAL access control of Data by in-depth Security Control. Regards Amit
