I also tried to do the same but "Tally Solution" said the this is report dependent Button you can call the GSTR1 report first, you need to write lot of codes to do the same, also they said it is not suggestible to customize the GST related reports.
Only button will not work. Try to understand what code has been written at report level. You might get some idea. You need to put your own button instead of default button and need to do some code not full code but partial default code of GSTR1 .
